Bees, Blooms & Butterflies: Pollinator Basics for Non-Gardeners

Description

Attracting and protecting beneficial insects is something everyone, any age, can do, even if you don’t have a garden. This mini-class is designed to present potential beekeeping students with an overview on pollinators. This offers a very broad overview on how plants reproduce, how plants are pollinated, different types of insects and a small section on Integrated Pest Management. Focus will be on honey bees and monarch butterflies to help students understand why there is so much news coverage on these two species.
